Seife
I was born in Ethiopia in 1967, but grew up in Sweden. Over time and coffee, I’ve made it my business to connect the best of both worlds. People, places and stories from here and there have shaped my ways.
After several years sourcing coffee I started my own Ethiopian green coffee export company in 2018. Seife’s is a gateway for premium and specialty coffee from Ethiopia to the rest of the world. It carries my name, and with that comes responsibility. But more importantly, it’s about how and why we do what we do.
I believe in a greater premium. That is, a greater reward for farmers, distributors, roasters and consumers. Ethical trade, not aid, is the way forward.

On Quality
We’re all part of an echo system and the natural resource we share set the standard. The rest is up to us. With that, we’ve only seen the beginning of the kind of quality Ethiopia can produce.
It’s about quality control every step of the way so we built our own infrastructure to control the quality and distribute all types of coffee Ethiopia has to offer. And we always deliver with a higher purpose:

Origin Trips
Every harvest season we arrange trips to the great Ethiopian coffee regions of Yirgacheffe, Limu, Guji and more, to see the origin of the beans first hand.
Together we visit farms, meet the people and experience the culture where the magic happens. A greater premium experience in Ethiopia’s coffee growing heartlands.
